Eric:

RE: TRIPLE HARDWARE I just checked my two Campagnolo triple setups, compared to your flicker images. On both of mine, the inboard chainring (and middle chainring) hardware is "less proud". It does not protrude as far as yours, and generally settles into the recess of the chainring better. So ... I have to wonder if you have the right chainring hardware.

Take a look at page 45 of Catalog # 18. http://www.campyonly.com/history/catalogs/catalog_18.pdf I'm suggesting you don't have the correct part for Campy Part Numbers 761 and 755.

RE: CHAINS I did NOT have good luck when I tried the Regina Record Extra Oro's (not laterally flexible enough). Things got a lot nicer when I went to Union Frondenberg ... but they are not especially skinny, just more flexible.

Otherwise, assure your chainline centers the middle chainring with the midpoint of the freewheel. I have successfully used the Nuovo/Super Triples with 5,6,7 speed freewheels.

Hello All,I've installed a Campy triple crank on my '78 Raleigh Comp. and the chain hangs up when on the small chainring. Here're some pix: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericm/sets/72157602300502794 <edit>
