This odd custom frameset I picked up has strange headlugs I've never seen before and I'm hoping someone can help me identify them. Their unique feature is that both upper and lower headlugs do not wrap around or encircle the ends of the head tube as is typical. Anyone seen this before and know why such lugs would be used? I suspect the frame is custom US-made but not certain of nationality. The design of lug(s) is long spearpoint, no cutouts, Italian-style I believe.
