Thanks for the clarification about the scheduling of the Pro race.

To be fair to the pros, I would think that many of them would have absolutely loved to ride on Sunday on vintage bikes, and even to hang out with the classico guys. Would have been quite a thrill to ride just as their own childhood heroes and the legendary names had ridden. But, riding on a totally different style of bike could really screw up their legs and knees... not a thing you can risk when your career depends on it.

You often see retired pro auto racers driving in some of the vintage racing car rally's, now that they are no longer constricted by their former contracts. And, when interviewed about the experience they are truly as giddy and excited as any other vintage car enthusiasts, and equally impressed with the accomplishments of their predecessors who had raced in much more demanding cars then they had generally driven during their own careers.
