Hi Dave,
Just returned from the garage flashlight in hand. Here are the serial numbers and the related years (I think) for the Bianchis I own in the vintage you are looking at. I have several other Bianchis but all are from the 1970s +.
1949 ex Bruno Pasquini said to have been ridden in the TdF, a team bike - 234524
1951 team type bike with proto PR derailleur (forward pedalling) - 286446
1952 Freccia - A487057
1952 Champione del Mondo - 8245282
1953 - 497200
1953 team issue (to Bruno Pasquini)Tdf - 497516
1962 team issue (to Bruno Pasquini)- 234524
>From these numbers, only the 1953 vintage bikes make any sense at all. To me anyway...
Hope this helps.
