I thought looking at this listing that this was less a "vintage" lightweight and more an alternative for someone looking for a new bike of a style that isn't really readily available any longer. Go to your local LBS and look at bikes of similar overall build quality and the price doesn't seem AS over the top. It has some cool touches like the GS Sport crankset, Brooks saddle and GS seatpost (screams quality in a way that modern posts don't). I found the use of a semi-rare old logo 1-A stem probably a bit much in the context of the build and the NGS RD on the other hand a bit downmarket (I'd fit a clean used Nuovo Record which can be easily sourced for 60 or 70 bucks).

I think the price is probably optimistic too but I think with a little marketing savvy and luck you could probably sell the crap out of something like this as a new bike in the 1000+ dollar niche of the new bike market. It's in some ways to me- like aesthetics- way better than what's out there at that price point and would make a perfect everyday/commuter bike for a lot of folk who want a nice functional bike without racing pretensions or the modern aesthetic.
