As Sheldon has explained the Dunlop tyres made expressly for these rims in the 50s were "the bees' knees" as we used to say. As I recall they had a narrow central rib and light file tread either side...but they are long gone.
I used to do a very good trade in the 80s and 90s with Specialised tyres..and an even better trade when I discovered that these were made by INOUE Rubber Co of Japan..and that I could by the Japanese original tyres through Falcon Cycles wholseale at far better prices.
The dimension of the tyres that you need are classed as 32-630...these sit best on the rims.

I happen to know that a certain CR List member, Nelson Miller, is due to be in Bath over Christmas time..that he sometimes shops at SJS to buy goodies for Moulton Mini..Maybe an email to him will convince him to bring a few back..particularly if these brands, most of them readily available in the UK, are not available over your side across the water
