This is interesting news. I visited theVigorelli in April and again last month. It hasn't been used for bike racing for sometime; however, other sporting events take place in the former track's infield. What's also fascinating about this article is that part of the rehabilitation of the track would incorporate sky boxes, known as an excellent income source and essential to amortizing the cost of high cost stadiums elsewhere. Whether there will be enough interest in Milan to allow this expensive rebuild I don't know. What might happen to the businesses that currently occupy the structure's ground floor at low rents if the Vigorelli is rebuilt is yet another issue. Masi's shop is one of them.
