my pal jeff who rides his fixed lugged steel stella with steel fenders and a wald giant delivery basket (usually full on his way home from his job at whole foods) 20+ miles to work every day rode out to watch the cross natz while he wandered about with stella more cameras(and eyes) were on him n bike than the racers by far tho there were lots of disposable bikes to be seen there were a good # of not only classic steel but modern steel represented too
