Out of the workshop came my faithful 1949 Holdsworth La Quelda with its Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub gearing and straight bars , I set out on a very casual one hour's ride this morning. When I returned home it felt like I'd never been away from riding for so long. At my age I am still going to use caution and do not intend to return to the amount of mileage I was doing before the end of July.
So to all those those kind members whose messages wished me well back in August, thank you for all your thoughts at the time. I'm sure they must
have helped with my recovery! I consider I'm very lucky to be able to still be riding at all.
