Subject: [CR]Gangl frame information requested

I recently acquired a beautifully crafted frame by Richard Gangl. Unfortunately, the seller had no knowledge of the frame's date of manufacture. The only visible markings are on the inside of the drive-side drop-outs and read "102". It's a Record Strata model with chrome head lugs, fork crown, chain stays and drop-out faces. It has water bottle braze-ons on both the seat and down tube. It has braze-on cable guides on the top of the top tube and braze-ons for down tube shift levers and a chain holder. It is set up to accept recessed brake mounting and I am almost certain this is original since the mounting holes still have chrome and paint on them. The rear spacing is 126 mm. I haven't pulled the fork to look for a serial number. The headset looks to be contemporary Record. The drop-outs look to be Campy 1010 with the 2 threaded holes for Porta Catena mounting. "Gangl" and hearts are cast into both sides of the sloping fork crown. There are also twenty heart-shaped cut-outs on various places on the frame and fork. The color is.. um, um pink?, light purple? lilac?, something like that. The original construction is absolutely, and I really mean absolutely, flawless. I'm looking to build it up with whatever would be period correct. The problem is I don't know what is period correct. Based upon the 126mm spacing and recessed brake mounting I'm guessing late 1980's. Any information about the frame would be greatly appreciated. Mr. Doug Fattic, the archives suggest you are friends with Mr. Gangl. Can you help a fellow CR list member?
