I always thought the team name was spelled with a Y, but the jersey on Italian eBay has it spelled with an I.

Here's a photo of Patrick Sercu wearing his Brooklyn uniform, which I checked to see which spelling was correct:

Lo and behold, Sercu's jersey says Brooklyn, but his shorts say Brooklin!

I'm pretty sure the correct spelling is with a Y, but it was probably mispelled by some suppliers, like Vittore Gianni in the case of the eBay jersey.

The Vittore Gianni company made some beautiful pro-team wool jersey replicas in the early 90s (they may even still be making them). According to the seller, this is a vintage jersey. I wonder if it's vintage original from the 70s, or a vintage 90s replica? Either way, the mispelling makes this jersey very cool.
