Subject: [CR] For sale: Four interesting frames and other parts

I have four interesting frames for offer to CR members before they go back to Ebay and a few other good parts. Please remember that other items can normally go in a frame box - even those you buy from me on Ebay. All items are plus shipping - a frame to the USA is $145, to Australia and Japan $170, within UK $25. With any of the frames I can if the buyer wishes deliver it free of charge to Argos who are only local to me. I would highly recommend their standard of refinishing.

RALEIGH TEAM TRACK FRAME 23in 1973 Tracking sprinting Offered for sale is a rather beautiful 1973 23in ctt Raleigh Team Track frame with long Campagnolo track dropouts and single point lugs. This frame was obviously built for track sprinting with extra reinforcements to the chainstays and extra beefy seatstays and even seatstay bridge. It has a 22in (ctc) top tube and is 120mm across the rear ends and is built from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. It has been hand stripped of its original paint and this reveals that the frame is in excellent condition with just one small dent to the top tube. It was built at Carlton\u2019s Worksop works and has the CC cutout in the bottom bracket shell which is very typical of the top frames from Worksop at this period. PLEASE NOTE the headset will be included but not the bottom bracket. $365ono Pictures can be seen at: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Raleigh-Track-1973.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Raleigh-Track-1973-dets.jpg

ARGOS 21in FRAME c1976-7 Light touring/Audax Offered for sale is a lovely 21in ctt c1976-7 Argos frame in very good/condition built with mudguard clearances and with a brake drop of about 54mm with 700C rims. Top tube length is 20.25in and rear dropout width 120mm. It is built from Reynolds 531 double butted tubing. This frame is ideal for light touring or Audax or Sportive rides. It has had one owner from new but now needs a respray. If the buyer wishes I can deliver it free of charge to Argos who are only local to me. I would highly recommend their standard of refinishing. $145. MASI PRESTIGE FRAME 56cm c1980 Italian made Offered for sale is a 56cm ctc c1980 Italian built Masi Prestige road frame. Top tube length is 56cm and rear dropout width is 126mm. This is a gorgeously detailed frame - it has been repainted, there a few chips to the paint but these could probably be touched up. The forks are not original to the frame; the chrome plating is beginning to pepper slightly in places. It comes complete with Campagnolo bottom bracket which appear to be in very good useable condition and a Stronglight A9 headset. Rear dropouts are Campagnolo and rear brake cable routing is through the top tube - this and the front derailleur braze-on will not be original. Masi frames are exceptionally rare in the UK and Masi were always reckoned to built to a high standard. This one is almost certainly built from Columbus tubing. $175 ono Pictures can be seen at: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Masi-Prestige.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Masi-Prestige-dets.jpg

VILLA ROAD FRAME 54cm Early 1960s Cinelli seat lug Offered for sale is a 54cm ctc early 1960s Italian made Villa road frame. Top tube length is 56cm and rear dropout width is 120mm. This frame has most unusually the characteristic Cinelli seat lug and Villa have copied from Cinelli many of the details such as the fork stiffeners on the inside of the fork blades. Rear dropouts are the earlier type Campagnolo with the hole for the spring of the Sport gear - it will of course take any Campy or modern derailleur. The paintwork is in sound condition, the frame does not not have any dents and appears to be perfectly straight and undamaged. It will restore very nicely. $145ono http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Villa.jpg http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Villa-details.jpg

FIAMME TRACK SPRINT 28H RIMS 1950s Offered for sale are an excellent pair of 28H Fiamme track sprint rims for tubular tyres, these are intended primarily for track use with steeply angled sides - these are the earlier slightly more rounded version and date from the 1950s. In Britain some riders used them for time trials and brakes can be made to work on them. Both rims have ferruled valve holes indicating an earlier rather than later version of this classic rim. Reproduction transfers are available. $49 http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r77/hilarystone/Fiamme-track-28H.jpg
