Hi Lynn,

What I usually do if I know I may have some time to take in a bike shop or two is to check the Phil Wood & Co. dealer website which will give you some insight as to what Phil dealers are in that area. The rationale being if they are listed, they may deal with vintage stuff. Since Phil Wood has a lot of CA shops listed on the website, I do a select all, copy and drop the shops into an excel spreadsheet. I then sort by zipcode to find shops in Fresno and immediate areas around Fresno that I might want to check out.

Recently I had to go to Wilmington, NC on biz and used the Phil website to locate a shop (Two Wheeler Dealer) that had an Eddy Merckx and two McLean bikes hanging from the ceiling plus a bunch of cool parts in the showcase next to the mechanics bench.

After 4/1, most shops are open on Sunday.

BTW, how was the St. Louis swap this year? Did you go? Have fun in CA.
