Offered for sale, a very nice Schrøder road race bike, vintage approx. 1974. A one-owner, it was custom-built by Schrøder of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Size 58cm c-t, with a 55.5cm top tube. Criterium geometry with shortish (99.5cm) wheelbase.
Made from Ishiwata tubing with Suntour dropouts. Baylis repaint (date unknown, but decal reads "San Marcos" so approximately mid-'80s) in a nice medium gray metallic with white seat tube panel. Paint is in excellent condition except for one fork leg, which was scratched and touched up.
Componentry is Campagnolo Record/Nuovo Record. All Campagnolo parts are period-correct except the front derailleur, which is a later three-hole cage braze-on (I suspect the braze-on hanger was installed at time of repaint, hence the later derailleur.) Bar and stem are early-logo Cinelli. It appears some of the components besides the f. derailleur were updated at time of repaint: saddle is a Vetta Nuvola racing, pedals are early Look/MAVIC clipless. The wheels have correct high flange 36h Record hubs, but they are laced to MAVIC G40 clincher rims, with a Suntour ultra-6 13-24t freewheel. Brake blocks are Mathauser reds. Hoods are A'me red. Red SILCA Impero pump w/Campagnolo head included. Everything is in very good used condition.
