Subject: [CR]Re: Oscar Egg again

Seeing a contribution from an Englishman in France prompts me to appeal again for help. I am still trying to get decent photographs of the seat tube transfer used on Oscar Egg bicycles. As it was used from the thirties to the final disappearance of the Oscar Egg name, you would think it would be easy. So far, over a period of years, no-one who owns one has actually stayed in touch long enough to help me. The only bikes I have been able to see in the flesh have had badly damaged transfers. Can someone please help?

It will be thrown in a cargo hold of a plane with stuff weighing several tons likely as not. Then, you are going to need customs documents, like a PF invoice, a declared value, insurance: so hassle, and duties your end. On the pack side, the wheels need to be well protected from crush from the outside and from the bike itself.

>One beautiful Jack Taylor frame with the appropriate continental parts currently on e-bay with just 22 hours to go. Couldn't even stretch myself on a rack to fit this one, so the marriage is still intact ;^) Uncommon chrome socks make it even more attractive. Not the seller, no interest, etc....
