I had the opportunity to visit Tim Isaac's "Match" cycles when Curt Goodrich was building Rivendell frames for them and got a very impressive tour of that facility with Tim's amazing tooling and production expertise on view - as well as a live brazing demo from Curt.

Tim was very proud of that Trek seat cluster and how it allowed for very accurate assembly of the joint, in a production environment where time per unit is critical.

Tim is a master of cycle engineering - I heard that he's now in Taiwan as chief engineer at Giant - can anybody confirm ?
