Tandem, heavily loaded randonneur... I'll go along with whoever said the Mafac centerpull, Racer or Competition, is the best. These brakes are built in such a way as to be ten times better than anything before or since at not flexing in any way, they are dead easy to center. All you need to know is how to set up the pads and cables properly. These brakes are very powerful indeed, and the pads are longer than almost anything else too.
