Hi Michael,

Well, as there are people out there, adding useless spoilers or alumimium wheels to their cars for much more money than a good collectible bike would cost- useles as they never will drive the car at fitting speeds- there is no reason why someone shouldn't add an old nice handlebar to a bike, even if it is a little bit expensive. I enjoy that behavior as I have the same handlebar on my old Gitane (completely bought for approx. 60 Euro complete with Dura Ace high flange, Module E usw.).

It is a charming and nice part so what... It's a kind of vanity fair. Riding a good bike becomes a status symbol. I like that. Hope this will also happen in Germany somewhere along the way. I'm prepared. :)

best regards, Richard
