i mentioned to my "housekeeper" the other day, one of the reasons we did not try to go (other than being dog sick, this heat was something wasn't it), is that it is just a bunch of late 50's - 60's white guys trying to relive/revive their youth. like i needed that reminder.
today i wear my vintage wool jerseys (and lycra) at the local gym on a recumbent. no bee stings, no pollen, no heat, no split decisions on the road that could break some more leg bones. just spin like a squirrel in a cage. and then we pop a top ...
but there is always the lure of the road, isn't there ... :)
