Le Cirque was a blast; way more than I expected. There are too many people to thank -- I mean, it seems to me, with my limited experience, that Le Cirque is the whole chalupa. Wayne and Mary Jo went over the top, but without wheel builders, no one rolls.

I gotta lift my hat to young Jim from New Jersey, though. On the Fun Fixie ride, he stoked for his dad and on the Sunday morning 45 miler, he soloed on Dad's Riv. Right in front of me, he recovered from a hoop de doo that might have skinned me, and at the hotel, he kept his position and rolled in behind the four or five riders he followed the last ten miles. No glory sprint for Jim. That's class.

Remember how gaga we were about bicycles when we were fourteen? Well, Jim's right there. If anyone thinks Le Cirque was missing something, you weren't riding with and talking with Jim. It's all up from here.

My thanks to everyone, Chuck Lathe
