Subject: [CR]Ebay's new feedback system

I agree with most of what individuals have said about the new feedback system, but for me the feedback system and their resolutions of disputes have been the most glaring or blatant problems on Ebay.

Under the new system, however, where the seller cannot leave negative feedback for paid items, they have created another problem, one that already existed, but nevertheless had been only a small problem. This puts the buyer in a position where he or she can extort reduction in price of items he or she bought. They can use the threat of negative feedback to reduce the price by nit-picking the item or saying it was not worth what he or she paid. And they can do this with impunity since the buyer, when the item has been paid, cannot reciprocate with negative feedback. My policy in selling has always been, if the person is dissatisfied with the item, I will return the person's money with the cost of mailing both ways. How can a buyer complain, except that the person has been put out of bit of time?

What Ebay has done in my opinion is to put the seller in position where he or she is in lose-lose situation. If the item sells for way more than it's worth--and who hasn't seen something like that?--or if an item sells for way less than it's worth--the buyer can still nimble and crunch his or her way to a lesser cost.

What I don't get is I cannot see is why they Ebay changed it? What advantage is there from Ebay's persepctive?

Oh well, there's lots I don't get, however, except how much I liked seeing all at the Cirque.
