It doesn't get any better than this, folks, for a pristine Huret-Sachs Multito cyclometer, with box and instructions in English. Seems to include all parts.

This was the last, plastic-case incarnation of decades of Real Odometers, but driven off the hub by a little o-ring belt instead of a noisy spur mounted to a spoke. Probably overlapped in time with the early Avocet electronic cyclometers, so thought to be really rare. After all, it wasn't nearly as useful as the Avocet. Certainly period-correct for your training bike, but probably not quite as accurate as a GPS.

There are a couple of catches: 1) Decision 24 hr. after digest hits the ether, to be fair to the digest folks. 2) I try not to be arbitrary. Best rationalization for why you want it wins, if there is more than one person interested in this historical anomaly. 3) $5 covers shipping and handling, US only. 4) I don't plan to do pictures. I'm sorry, but if you don't know what this is, you don't really qualify. but, I guess I could scan the instructions if someone wants to post them.

It was a gift to me from a friend who liked that it was a Sachs component. I respect that, but figure that this wasn't really Sachs (Fichtel & Sachs, of Germany), but from the late shotgun marriage in an effort to stave off the onslaught of the Far East. Anyhow, I'm not related. And don't have anything except my Alenax for which it would be appropriate. And the Alenax isn't going to get any miles ridden by any sane person.

But think of the opportunities. Dress your new Colorado Herse with this piece, and watch the folks swoon about your time-capsule bike. :-)
