MA2 rims by themselves can be bought on ebay by themselves (not laced to Campy rims) at a very reasonable price. I bought my pair from Joel Flood at Via Bicycle recently and I needed one 36 and one 32 hole rims. They aren't easy to find, but I agree they are nice rims. One dealer also told me he could likely get them NOS from California. Jobst has a long essay on them, basically stating they are all the rim you should ever need as they are known for durability and for staying true when laced up properly. My second choice for a classic style non-black ano box rim is the Salsa Delgado, readily available, if you can deal with the little cactus logo decal. They are extremely low priced, intended to be classic style, and highly rated for the same reasons. While the Mavic open pro is often used on classic rides, it doesn't look classic enough to me because it has black ano on the center non-braking surface.
