yes, it seems that the situation was pretty variable during the 50s. The TA crank on this Frejus has six arms, so it seems to be interchangeable with the tourist versions. I have to admit that one reason I'm not convert ing it is because I like the unusual look.

I wish I could take any credit for not changing anything. It was purely a matter of aesthetics. I may or may not convert the bike to inch-pitch, s ince I have found that TA did make pista cranks in that configuration. How ever, since I intend to ride it, I still prefer the Cinelli stems, fo r ex., without the nut on top --though that might be more 'period appropr iate' or 'period correct.'
