The Tufo "Extra" rim tape, properly applied, is very adhesive. However, as Eddie Albert indicates, if one has plans to remove a "good" tubular (one you're planning to reuse), the Tufo tape is not for you. Another benefit is that the tape is relatively easy to remove from the rim, or one can even tape over the remaining rim residue with fresh tape.
