To those who privately assured Rob that the De Rosa is genuine:

Since others might want to learn more about 1950s De Rosas, please lay out the reasoning for all of us. In fact, some of us might even want to bid on the bike, so it is in everybody's (including KD's) interest to discuss this bike onlist.

I do not think there is anything wrong with Rob wondering about a bike as unusual as this... no matter who is the seller. The bike certainly has a number of features that resemble a 1960s Cinelli. (Hold your flames, I am not saying that it is a 1960s Cinelli!)
