As Jerry Moos pointed out, Sarah Gibson's Cinelli has Weyless hubs, and I think they are tres chic. The hubs not only have large diameter axles, but large diameter, hollow, QR spindles, and the levers are aluminum. According to the ads at the time, the hubs featured teflon outer bearing shields, to help resist water intrusion. We have one rarely-used wheelset with them, and I keep one around for its eye candy attributes. Feels nice to play with, too. The cam ends do rust, though. I can't remember any train of complaints about failures with them. They do lack HiE's signature peculiarity though: Unlike HiE, the cartridge bearings are just press fit into the flanges. With Hi-E, you would have had to unspoke the wheel and remove the flange to change the bearing. I've never had one fail, but it was definitely peculiar.
