Hi Bruce...

You might be able to do that, but I don't think I'd trust it. The lockite type products work by crystallizing and filling the gaps in the threads. Surface to surface adhesion in shear isn't very reliable. An epoxy would work better because it's tougher. I'd make a slug that fits inside the tubing as a way to increase the bonding surface...
