Subject: [CR]For Sale: Campagnolo Freewheel Tool Kit

Hello all,

After the spirited discussion on this forum about selling Campy parts.? I have made the decision after much lamenting to sell some thing that I have held onto for years.

I am the originial owner of a Campagnolo?Freewheel Tool Kit.?? I am selling it because I have NEVER used it.? Over the years I have shown it to lots of people and they have made many favorable comments.?? The plain fact is, ?that since I purchased?this tool kit?in the spring of 1984 it has yet to be used to disassemble/assemble a Campy freewheel.?

The?tool kit?has all the original pieces, not a single one has been lost, and it will include a Campagnolo 12-17 6sp freewheel that has exactly 50 miles on it.? The freewheel was used 2 times at New Mexico's Record Challenge Time Trial.?? That is why ?I know the exact milage on the freewheel,?plus I am also the original owner of the freewheel. ? The freewheel will be in the original blue (Super Record) box and plastic case that was originally purchased in, also back in the spring of 1984.?? {for those who don't know parts that were Super Record came in blue boxes and parts that were Nuovo Record came in beige'ish yellow boxes, Grand Sport came in green boxes.}

Like I mentioned above, ?the?Freewheel tool kit is in?new condition.? The tools in it have?NEVER been used, ?there are no vise marks or any other marks on any of the tools in the kit. The?two Campagnolo chain whips still have the original packing grease in them.??The tool kit?is still in the original wood box with the embossed Campagnolo World logo, though the box has some minor scratches on it from being moved around over the last ?24 years.

Remember that the Freewheel project at Campagnolo was the last project that the founder, ?Tullio,?actually supervised just?prior to his death.? Literally a piece of Campagnolo history.

My asking price for these two items; Completed never used Campagnolo Freewheel Tool Kit and Campagnolo 12-17 6sp Freewheel is? $5,000.??

One might ask why I am asking such a high price...The reason is that privately owned Freewheel toolkits are exceptionally rare, finding one that is in brand new un-used condition is even rarer.? For the true Campy-file this would be a great addition to your collection.?

I have lots of photos of the items and can take more upon request.? Serious inquiries only.
