..you're assumption is correct - they are absolutely of Sugino origin.

Specifically, the chain rings to which you refer are the earliest version from their Mighty Competition model MCC crankset dating circa 1972 to 1974.

These chainrings are 144 BCD. Perfect fit for Campagnolo NR/SR cranks.

The markings seen in the photo are the ONLY marks on the rings. I would assume they are Sugino, but could someone verify this. I do have a Sugino "Mighty Competition" chainring with more detailed markings and which looks nothing like these. That one is basically a dead ringer for original Campagnolo NR, so these puzzle me.
