Hello list,

i'm selling a beautiful KOF Eddy Merckx 10th anniversary frame with fork.

this is how it looks: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/martl/merckx/

I mesaured it being 61.5cm ct-ct with a top tube of 59.5 ct-ct, but a sticker on the steering tube says 60. The frame is made from TSX tubing, Columbus finest. Paint scheme is unique to the anniversary model and is even more beautiful than the pictures can show. The frame is almost mint condition, there are some spots on one of the brake cable outlets, under the downtube and underneath the seat lug, apparently from carrying a long pump, which have been touched up by the previous owner. These spots are not large and could easily be repaired. I tried to take good pictures of them.

The frame has been built up and ridden (although not a lot, by the looks of it), thus shows the usual signs on the dropouts and mount points. Apart from these very minor cosmetic flaws, the frame looks like straight out of the shop! Of course it is straight and true.

Fork has a flat crown and was shortened to fit a C-Record headset which is one of the longest around, so i guess all other headsets would work as well. Italian threaded BB and fork. Seatpost is 27.2mm. rear spacing is 130mm so it takes all kind of hubs 8,9,10 speed.

The paint and chrome are just georgeous and of a quality rarely seen nowadays. Please see Pictures on Wooljersey for lots of pictures!

On the steering tube of the fork is a sticker that says 18/12/1989.

This frame is an absolute beauty, if it was my size i'd never dream of selling it! Build it with a NOS Campy C-Record gruppo (not included ;-) and own the most georgeous bike at the next vintage ride!

Frame is located in Germany but will ship worldwide. Please inquire for shipment rates and payment. Of course, the frame will be packed very carefully.

I'm a contributor to the Classic Rendezvous mailing-list; members registered there before this posting goes online will receive a discount on shipping.

please contact me at martin@team-ware.de for further inquiry or if you need more pictures.

Asking price for CR-Members: 900$ i know this is not cheap, but this bike is a rare example... the last of that line i saw went on Ebay for 1450$ item 360090351528
