I need my bars 3" above my saddle, so I need the width of a B17 at the back. But I have chunky thighs so a narrow nose is important too.

My solution is the Pro "S" which is the same 170mm wide at the rear as the B17 but much narrower between the thighs.

YMMV but the shorter nose seems to be a better fit with my "boy bits".

It might be worth lacing the flaps of a B17 to reduce thigh chaffing. I've done it to a B72 and it really helped.

BTW Sometimes you can get great deals on the Pro "S". I got an Antique Brown one off of eBay in perfect condition for $60. The same seller got $87.50 for a really beat up "mans" Pro. I got another one in equally nice shape for $65 from a guy who bought it for his wife. She didn't like it and ended up on a B67.
