The Hetchins Massed Start bike on hetchins.org is mine. It has a very unigue logo, hand painted on the frame.

Unfortunately, the logo is scratched and the scratch is rusted. Areas around the logo are also "bubbling" with rust.
I found a caligrapher who can restore the logo.
What I'd like to know is how to prepare the surface properly. Any suggestions?
