A friend wants me to try and sell his Raleigh Competetion. It doesn't have many miles on it and should clean up nicely. It is 59cm c-t with a 56c-c top tube. Cyclone M 11 rear derailleur 6 speed friction, Sugino cranks, Sunshine hubs 36 hole, DiaCompe AGC brakes and Raleigh 555T butted tubes. Looking for $100 with delivery to the Cirque. Really don't want to ship it. Will bring it to the Cirque, but need to sell it if I bring it as I have a downhill bike to bring home and won't have the room in the car to bring it back. Can e-mail photos if interested. ++++++++++++++++++ This sounds like a later Competition than mine, but if it has similar geometry and is all 531DB, I can't recommend it too highly. Mine is early 1970s, all black with half-chrome fork, and one of the more pleasant bikes I ride regularly. I've dropped it back to fixed gear, and commuted with it (pannier carrier on back) for a couple of years, until my knees petitioned for more gears. Not a crit bike, but the kind of frame for riding a century with joy. To me, this is a real bargain if it is like mine.
