Hi Dale, Tom etc,
Thanks for looking at my pics, the Tandem is a Thorn 'Rohloff' special, custom made for a regular customer. The reason for 2 eccentric shells is to be able to tension 'both' chains.......however, I agree with Marten, I would prefer longer rear ends, bit like track ends......... there has to be a longer section on the LH side for the Rohloff 'arm' to locate. [the 26" wheel goes all the way up!] The special stainless rear ends are made for us, and yes this frame is off topic!
The fancy lugged frame is not yet painted, my mate can't decide on what colour! but when its done I will put some pics up, the bike will be on topic as its to be built with a 4 speed alloy Sturmey, 49d cranks, Mafac Racers, Cinelli badged stem etc.
High bottom bracket?..........if referring to the unpainted Tandem, having 26" wheels will give the impression of a high bracket, and the Woodrup tandem was made for a bit of rough stuff, hence the cross tyres.
Most of my pics will be OT, but I will try and have a section for some of the recent stuff tucked away.
Thanks Kevin Sayles Bridgwater Somerset UK

Hi. I would think the wheel would angle to the right as the axle worked it's way up the slot. Perhaps the thinking is that the disk brake will hold the wheel in place, but that would mean an almost constant drag on the wheel. I would love to hear from the builder as to why they choose to construct this.
Anybody ells notice how high the Bottom bracket is? I wonder if this tandem will be an off road bike? This should be an interesting topic.
