Subject: [CR] '81 Le Champion and Motobecane history

Hi All, Got a bike here with the nicest details and lugwork I've ever seen on a french production bike--except for a run-o-the-mill BB treatment. All pat 80 NR, can read "Le Champion" can be read through the paint on the top tube.

***I will try to post pics soon, but I wonder if anyone has any pics of another (properly painted) '81, and if anyone knows more history regarding MB and their bankruptcy about this time. Was this the last of 'em?

Planning on restoring, though this one is--sigh--a 59cm and thus a size too large for me.

AUTO-SIG TO AVOID AUTO-BOOT, FOLKS!
