At long last, I've found the manufacturer of the lightweight, canvas tent I bought during the 1980s. http://www.cabanon.com/gb/points/frame_pdt.htm

Unfortunately, neither the tent I purchased, nor the other lightweight models are listed on the Web site. I bought mine if France, but they seem to have a fair number of retail outlets in the UK, so perhaps one of them can be of assistance.

Still, one thing to consider when using any tent of this type is that it will be more difficult to erect than a modern tent. Plus, you really need to pre-shrink it before actual use. Still, that's the way they did it in the "old days"...
