I've bought several jerseys from Vintagevelos -- Never had a problem. The shipping is fairly reasonable (jerseys don't weigh much) and you shouldn't have to pay import duty unless you're buying a whole lot of them. I don't remember what the price limit is before customs starts getting involved (I think it is in the neighborhood of $1000), but a couple jerseys shouldn't raise any eyebrows. Occasionally you can find some of the jerseys from other sources. Rivendell has (or sometimes has) Woolistic jerseys for sale (the design they call "candy striped" is a Woolistic jersey, also offered through Vintagevelos) but they don't carry the team designs. Off the subject of your post - but related to the import duty: I purchased a new frame from Mercian in England a few years back, total cost about $800 and didn't have to pay duty. About two years ago, I bought another frame from them, but with the dismal exchange rate (which had nearly doubled the cost) my cost for the second frame was up around $1500. About a week after my frame arrived, I got a letter from the US Government Customs Agency with a bill for about $150 -- DUTY!@ But I don't think you'll be paying that much for jerseys.Kyle BrooksAkron, OH -----Original Message----->From: David Joshel <davidjoshel@hotmail.com>>Sent: Jan 25, 2009 8:36 PM>To: classicrendezvous@bikelist.org>Subject: [CR] Woolistic retro jerseys>>>Hello Listers>>Is there a US mail order source for the Woolistic Retro wool team jerseys?>The only place that I can find them is at Vintagevelos.com>>HAs anyone on this list bought from them?
