Wow! Until I read Ted's post it never occurred to me that they were a bit lighter and weight saving was involved. With Schwinn's inclination to build bullet proof bikes this is perhaps one more reason why they shipped their track bikes with Strada headsets, instead of the Pista than folks might expect. I had thought that standardization of head tubes and the fact that the Campagnolo name was featured on the Strada ones were the only reason.
I darn near stuck an Attaboy in there, Ted, but the idea of Dale scowling at me next month in Indianapolis intimidated me! Don't suppose you could join us at the Hand Made Bike Show?
