Subject: [CR] Used Davidson

I rarely surface on this forum but a general rule of thumb for selling a used item is that you will get less than 50% of what you paid for it. The exceptions are for items that are scarce or in great demand. As some have pointed out, it is indeed unfortunate that Davidsons are not better appreciated. But as they are not, the price received strikes me as very much in line (maybe even a little high) for what it is: a used bike that is not in perfect mint condition with components that appeal largely to nostalgic people. I'll probably not surface for another 100,000 digests but I sometimes get an urge to remind others of reality. I am sure I will be convinced by someone who argues that I am wrong in my analysis, so no need to be too harsh on me.

Regards and thanks to Dale for hosting my favorite web forum!
