I think you've nailed the correct amount of strangeness in your crank/ring gear selections. I worked in downtown Seattle for the last several years. And at least here, seems a fixie culture that embraces not wanting to use "standard solutions" This combination of pieces parts would be applauded...

Or in the vernacular of the fixie set, "cool rig dude\u2026"
