I hope that John Pergolizzi's bowing out as auctioneer will not completely kill the Charity Auction at Cirque.

For one thing, I have a couple of very nice donated wheelsets, one tubular and one clincher.

The tubulars are Maillard 700 Professional hubs in like new condition with NOS Mavic GP4 rims, freshly built with new double-butted stainless spokes. These are wonderful wheels to ride on any on-topic bike.

The clinchers are lightly used Campagnolo Record hubs and also lightly used Araya narrow 700c rims, hubs repacked, rims cleaned and shined, and wheels rebuilt with new double butted stainless spokes. Jan Heine has promised a set of Grand Bois tires to mount on them. Also great rider wheels for any on-topic bike.

All of the parts were collected as donations to Operation Smile, and I intend to deliver on that. I hope my commitment will encourage others to step up and keep the Charity Auction going.
