I agree that the bike is a 78-81 Colnago Super. The flat crown indicates a pre 82 bike. The bike was imported during that era by Security Bicycle Accessories (SBA) in New York. The other model they imported in masse during that period was The "Superissimo" which had chrome head lugs/ fork crown/ fork and dropout tips, but no chainstay or full fork chrome. The two are often confused, especially after a repaint. The Superissimo was more or less identical in construction to the Super except for different fork and seatstay tubing (heaver, maybe Falk) without the dished seatstay ends (they are flat on the Superissimo) and was still fully chromed under the paint. Both bikes had pinned construction chainstays and forks and was some of the first -read better- semi mass produced Colnagos. These two bikes often get confused due to similar panel decals, and identical lugs. I own at least one of both....they both ride well, with the nod towards the Super as the lighter fork and chainstay give a bit smoother ride.
