The these oversized seat stay caps were a hallmark of the Ilkeston
SBDU-built 753 frames and considered very cool at the time. The reworking of
the Worksop Pro into the Mark V was clearly an effort to give the look of
the team bikes hence the adoption of the seat caps I suspect.
