I believe that INTER. is earlier than INT., which is subsequently earlier than INT (with no period). Both short and long reach versions can be found with either of the markings you mentioned, as discussed in a thread earlier this year, with photos showing long and short reach for each marking type, posted here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/fujifish1/OtherVintage/Parts/CalipLogos/

This leads to the belief that the marking change is an example of chronological difference, as opposed to the mis-belief that the marking was shortened for short reach calipers. If the later were true, then there would be no long reach INT. calipers. All examples in my pics have cupped quick release levers, thus they are from about 1977, or later.

The question is then: When exactly did the latter, more brief INT. form appear?

Hi,

I recently got a set of Campagnolo Record brakes. After cleaning them, I noticed on the front brake Brev. Int. and on the rear brake Brev. Inter. On the back of the front brake also a smal "C" was engraved. The imprint on the rear brake look a little more sophisticated (finer)

Can someone tell me something about these brakes?
