Good luck. I like to keep a couple of pairs extra on hand as these are definitely consumables. Also, if you want to go with all leather shoes, you might want to find toeclips with the leather wraps to protect the leather uppers. I think Velo Orange has these.

I just had my local cobbler replace the soles on a pair of vintage Detto Pietro's; $45.00 and he did a beautiful job. I asked for some thicker touring-style soles as I wear my shoes without cleats and like to walk in them from time to time.
