Mike,

Good to see you made it to the CR list, and WELCOME!. This is the place where people like us are valuable to those who have an interest in frame building, and the past and present of this business. This is a very frie ndly group filled with interesting and knowledgeable people.

I know you are coming down to the San Diego Custom Bicycle Show this wee kend where you can meet a good number of these people in person. I also know there are going to be quite a few old Wizard bicycles present along with some Masis and maybe some Medicis. I hope we can find an opportuni ty for you to get back into the business and put your vast knowledge and framebuilding abilities to work.

We're going to have a GREAT weekend and a GREAT inaugural show. I'm very pleased that we can get together and put some of the past into perspect ive for everyone. Former Masi employee Chuck Heofer, owner of Pacific Co ast Cycles will be in attendance and wants to gather some former Masi em ployees for a group photo.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend and to seeing everyone. This event has been a lot of work for those of us involved in putting it toge ther (David Ybarrola, Dr. Chuck Slesinger, and myself) and we're about t o witness the payoff. I'm already looking forward to getting the show fo r next year under way. See you there!

My name is Michael Howard. I started building frames back in the early seventies. My first job was with the original Masi California operation in Carlsbad, CA. Worked with Brian Baylis,Mario Confente and of course old man Masi himself. At the age of 19 Brian Baylis and I started Wizard Cycle C o. Then back to Masi after Masi and Mario Confente parted ways, Brian and I

went back to run the operation. Eventually moved on and spent 17 years running Medici Bicycle Co. with Gian Simonetti. Gian and I purchased the

company around 1996 and called it Simo Cycles. As many of you already kn ow

I then had a complete meltdown (drug and alcohol abuse). Just got out of prison last November and am proud to say back to my old dependable self.

Clean and sober for 7 plus years. I really like this web site and just wanted to get my name out there and le t everybody know I'm back and looking for opportunities in the business. C an send résumé on request. I would be happy to answer anybody's questio ns

on any of the products mentioned above. I can be reached at 95rivieramike@gmail.com. Michael Howard Santa Fe Springs CA
