Many thanks to Steven Maasland for pointing out the great Italian museums.

Highly worth viewing on the Museo Nicolis website are the images of the 1955 Coppi Special bike.

Many interesting details including a front short fender tip hung from the front brake bolt... a very unusual fork crown... cottered 5-pin steel cranks with alloy chainrings... of course the Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleur set... even a later replacement Universal brake caliper mounted on the rear... and lots of battle scars to the original enamel.
