I usually do not respond to posts like this as prolonging the agony of it seems wrong. But I'm really having a hard time figuring out when it became such a big deal to repair a punctured tubular?

If you replaced "punctured tire" with "destroyed frame" in Peter's original post then I could see his point.

But it's a punctured tire, one of you guys needs to fix it then split a six-pack. You're both like bike mechanics, right?
