Here is a story for the Frejus cognescenti. I made a yearly pilgrimage to the International Bike Show at the Coliseum in NYC throughout the 1970s and 1980s. I'm sure older CR members remember this scene. The public was not allowed in,but Tom Avenia gave me his business card and on the back he wrote that Norman Hellman worked for him. That is how I was able to go the show.In 1978, I was at the Gios exhibit and met Alfredo Gios. Alfredo asked what kind of bike did I ride. I told him a Frejus Supercorsa. His eyes lit up, he cracked a wide smile and said "La bicicletta di Ercole Baldini." Che Bella!!!!!Remember that the Gios brothers came from Torino where Frejus bikes were made.
